IRM Shock Pads are extensively used to transport top decks /heavy structures by sea. They are distinctively designed to absorb heavy loads due to the waves during the voyage.
These Shock Pads are very robust in construction and can accommodate high loads with resilience to balance the deck/structure. IRM Shock Pads can also be designed and manufactured per customer's requirements for different load applications.
Product Highlights
- Maximum rotation angles from 21° for single LEC to 36° for double LEC are placed opposite each other.
- Receiving structures: semi-open steel receptacles or with I-tubes and hydraulic jack pre-tension system.
- Absorb loads in combination with relatively low compression stiffness.
- Compared to ordinary steel rubber laminated bearings, shock pads are built up with relatively thick rubber layers.
- Drilling platforms, fixed platforms, FPSO, TLP.
- Used for transporting a platform on a barge to reduce the barge movement resulting from the swells.
IRM Shock pads are available up to 5000mt capacity; higher capacities can be revalidated with the model study.
